Hello, Im Howard Runions W4HLR . I was born into the hobby in Dyer county in 1964.Graduated Dyersburg High with an Electronics Major in 1982 ,attended Dyersburg State , also attended the Tennessee Tech Center in Newbern with electronics as my study. My father is WB4IBC Lawerenceburg,,uncles WA4HFN Memphis,WB4EGV Nashville,Once had 2 more uncles and a brother that were hams.I have been a vhf and uhf dxer since obtaining my ticket .Achieved the follwing awards as a no code tech.:50 mhz w.a.s.#1106, 50 mhz qrp w.a.s. #1303,50 mhz W.A.C.,50 mhz vucc # 1143,144 mhz vucc#674,Need about 15 countries for 50 mhz dxcc.After accepting the Delta Divison Assistant Directors position , I have visited with every club north of I-40 from the Mississippi River to the Tennessee River,There are 2 clubs i have not visited with but have them on my calender.My sole purpose is to unify our area armateurs . Our strength is in numbers. I have been asking non ARRL affiliated clubs to take the leap. This int urn strengthens ARRL membership.My other hobbies include:1st ,Duck Hunting,2nd Crappie Fishing,3rd Deer Hunting,4th Training Labrador Retreivers to hunt ducks and geese.Keep your radio warm ,support your local ham and ARES clubs today! I will be looking for you in the coax.!
